Snapshot of most common fees queries

The fee for 50-minute Therapy Psychology Sessions is $270.

The fee for 50-minute Joint or Family Psychology Sessions is $300.

Approximate fee for a typical Neuropsychology Assessment is $2,450.**

Payment via credit card has a merchant fee of 0.9%.

** Not all assessments are neuropsychology assessments. See “What’s included in an assessment” below or visit our Fee List for more information.

For 50-minute sessions, payments are either automatically, electronically, and securely processed using the provided Credit Card details after the session (merchant fee of 0.9% applies) or via cash at the conclusion of the session.

For Assessments, payments are either electronically and securely processed using the provided Credit Card details (merchant fee of 0.9% applies) or via Direct Deposit 3 Business Days before the first 2-hour testing session.

A typical neuropsychology assessment includes an intake session, two testing sessions (1.5 – 2 hours each), relevant discussions with others, if required (e.g., teachers, allied health professionals), a feedback session where we discuss results and what they mean for you, and the production of a report.

However, not all assessments fall neatly within the above structure.  Your individual needs, presentation, concerns, and what you specifically wish to get out of the assessment determines what the assessment will ultimately look like. For example, an educational assessment to explore dyslexia is very different to an ADHD + Autism + dyslexia assessment.

Please note, not all assessments are, or require, neuropsychology assessments. Some assessments are completed over a few 50-minute appointments.

Feel free to contact us if you have any assessment questions. Keep in mind that your clinician, based on the information they collect during your intake session, may recommend the assessment scope be broader, narrower, or different to what you expected going in. Therefore, anything booked and discussed before your intake session is an estimate.

We offer appointments Monday to Friday between 9:30 am and 5:30 pm. The latest 50-minute appointment start time is 4:30 pm.

No. You can choose to pay privately. However, you will need to create a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) and obtain referral from your GP, Paediatrician, or Psychiatrist if you wish to claim a Medicare rebate.

A Mental Health Treatment Plan (aka GPMHTP, MHTP, Mental Health Care Plan, MHCP) is a plan you create with your GP about seeing a psychologist for support with your mental health concerns. Your GP will determine if you are eligible for a MHTP. You are not required to provide us with your MHTP. You are required to provide us with a referral in order for us to submit the claim to Medicare on your behalf.

If you have a MHTP, you are eligible for up to 10 Medicare rebatable sessions per calendar year. GP’s can grant a maximum of 6 sessions per referral. If you have used all sessions within your initial referral and require further Medicare rebatable sessions, you will need to book a MHTP review your GP.

Rebates contribute $93.35 towards the consult fee.

You are still required to pay the full amount on the day of your appointment. After we receive payment from you, we then submit the Medicare claim on your behalf. Medicare reimburses you the $93.35 typically within one business day.

For those who have reached the Medicare safety net, the rebates contribute a higher amount to your consult fee.

It is the client’s responsibility to keep track of how many sessions they have used under their MHTP and within each referral. How many sessions left within your current referral can be found in the top right-hand corner of your appointment invoices.

Start by filling out the contact form.

We aim to get back to you within 2 business days by email (in some instances, 5 business days) to discuss a time and, if relevant, whether we are the right fit for you.

Once you have decided that you would like to book sessions, we send you a link to the Clinic Intake Form via email. You must complete the Intake Form before any sessions are booked. The Intake Form includes providing personal and payment details, and obtaining consent for services.

Some counselling services may be covered by your Private Health Insurance. Rebates will vary depending on your health fund and level of cover. Please consult your insurance provider for further information.

We can claim on your behalf if your private health insurer is set up with digital claiming. We would process this claim if you indicated for us to do so. Clients will need to approve this claim through text message.

Please note, for a single session, clients cannot claim both a Medicare and Private Health Insurance rebate.

We can see clients who are NDIS participants who are self-managed or plan-managed.

We cannot see clients who are NDIA managed.

Check with your support coordinator if you are unsure.  Rebates are determined by the NDIS and may cover the full or partial cost of the appointment.

Yes. In this parent session we go over your child’s developmental history, why you are engaging, and administrative procedures. Note that your child does not attend the parent session.

If your child has a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP), you can claim a rebate for parent-only sessions up to twice per calendar year. For all other sessions, you can only claim against your child’s MHTP when your child has attended the appointment.

If you think having a parent session prior to us meeting your child may cause any issues, please let us know when you reach out to us.

We do. However, we do not charge any fees if the appointment gets filled, so please let us know as soon as possible if you cannot or likely won’t be able to commit to your appointment.
