Answers to frequent questions

Please visit our Schedule of Fees page for all fee-related information.

Payments are securely and electronically processed using the payment details provided in the clinic intake form.

For therapy appointments, payment processing is automated and occurs at 8:00 pm on the night of your scheduled appointment.

Neuropsychology assessments include various methods of information gathering, such as client interviews, collateral history, questionnaires, and testing sessions, a feedback session to discuss results and what they mean for you, and the production of a report.

However, the exact structure and the various assessment inclusions vary based on your specific needs, concerns, and goals. Please note that not all assessments require neuropsychological testing; psychological assessments are inherent to therapy.

No. You can choose to pay privately. However, you will need to create a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) and obtain a referral from your GP, Paediatrician, or Psychiatrist if you wish to claim a Medicare rebate.

A Mental Health Treatment Plan (also known as a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan, MHTP, Mental Health Care Plan, or MHCP) is created with your GP to get support from a psychologist for your mental health concerns. Your GP will determine your eligibility for a MHTP. You do not need to provide us with your MHTP; however, you must provide us with a referral so we can submit the Medicare claim on your behalf.

With a MHTP, you can claim up to 10 Medicare-rebatable sessions per calendar year. Your GP can authorise a maximum of 6 sessions per referral. To get more Medicare-rebatable sessions after using all the sessions from your initial referral, you will need to schedule a review with your GP and get a new referral.

Clients are responsible for keeping track of how many sessions they have used under their MHTP within the calendar year and per referral.

Referrals are valid until all authorised sessions are used, but if you switch psychologists, you will need a new referral to continue claiming Medicare rebates.

Each Medicare rebate contributes $96.65 towards your consultation fee. You are required to pay the full amount on the day of your appointment. After receiving your payment, we will submit the Medicare claim on your behalf. Medicare typically reimburses you within one business day.

If you have reached the Medicare Safety Net threshold, Medicare rebates are higher.

Start by filling out the contact form.

We aim to get back to you within 2 business days by email (in some instances, 5 business days) to discuss a time and, if relevant, whether we are the right fit for you.

If you decide to see one of our psychologists, we send you a link to complete our Clinic Intake Form via email. You must complete the Intake Form before we can book any appointment. Through the Intake Form, we obtain personal and payment details, and informed consent to services.

Some counselling services may be covered by your Private Health Insurance. Rebates will vary depending on your health fund and level of cover. Please consult your insurance provider for further information.

We can claim on your behalf if your private health insurer is set up with digital claiming. We would process this claim if you indicated for us to do so. Clients will need to approve this claim through text message.

Please note, for a single session, clients cannot claim both a Medicare and Private Health Insurance rebate.

We can see clients who are NDIS participants who are self-managed or plan-managed.

We cannot see clients who are NDIS-managed.

Check with your support coordinator if you are unsure. Rebates are determined by the NDIS and may cover the full or partial cost of the appointment.

Yes. In this parent session psychologist will go over your child’s developmental history, why you are engaging, and some policy and administrative procedures. Note that your child does not attend the parent session.

If your child has a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP), you can claim a rebate for client-absent (e.g., parent-only) sessions up to twice per calendar year. For all other sessions, you can only claim against your child’s MHTP when your child has attended the appointment.

We do.
